CleanCSV is a free browser tool made by veilsphere. You keep responsibility for the files you open and for checking the file you download.

The tool

Cleanup changes the working table only after you apply a preview. Export options, including formula prefixes and a UTF-8 BOM, are described in the download dialog. Those options can change bytes in the download. Read the summary before you save.

Formula protection prefixes an apostrophe on cells that match the mode you select. It is a mitigation for spreadsheet importers, not a promise that every application will treat the cell as inert. The limits are written on the formula injection guide and in the dialog.

Limits

Very large files are refused so the tab does not run out of memory. That refusal is a technical limit, not a paid upgrade. This version does not process files on a server.

No warranty

The tool is provided as-is. It can mis-detect a delimiter, pad a short row, or show a warning you still need to interpret. Review destructive previews. Keep the original file until the download is the one you wanted.
