CSV tool
Convert CSV to TSV
Switch the delimiter to a tab and download a .tsv file. Cell text stays as it was, including commas inside fields and leading zeros.
Drop a CSV here
Comma, semicolon, tab, or pipe. Quotes, commas, and line breaks inside a cell stay intact. The file is read here and is not saved on the server.
Up to 32 MB. Files over 8.0 MB ask before parsing.
What the conversion does
The parser reads the source delimiter, which you can override if the guess is wrong. The download on this page defaults to a tab. Fields that contain a tab, a quote, or a line break are quoted. Fields that are only a comma-rich address do not need quotes anymore, because the comma is no longer the delimiter.
The conversion does not translate numbers or dates. Read CSV vs TSV if you are choosing a delimiter for another system. If that system asked for commas, do not send it a TSV. Change the download delimiter back before you export.
