Clean, Fix, and Transform CSV Files
Drop in an export, see what is messy, and download a cleaner file. The work stays in this tab. Nothing is applied until you have seen the preview.

Drop a CSV here
Comma, semicolon, tab, or pipe. Quotes, commas, and line breaks inside a cell stay intact. The file is read here and is not saved on the server.
Up to 32 MB. Files over 8.0 MB ask before parsing.
How the cleaner works
1
Upload
Choose a CSV, TSV, or the messy sample. The bytes never leave the tab.
2
Inspect
Read row, column, blank, and duplicate counts, plus header and encoding warnings.
3
Clean
Pick one operation: empty rows, duplicates, trim, columns, sort, or replace.
4
Preview
See the counts and sample cells. Apply or cancel. Undo if the result is wrong.
5
Export
Choose a delimiter, optional formula prefixes, and a UTF-8 mark for Excel.
Tools for one job
Remove duplicate rows
See which rows are exact copies, choose whether to keep the first or the last, and apply the deletion only after the preview lists them.
Remove empty rows
Blank lines from exports and edited spreadsheets show up as rows with nothing in them. Preview the list, then delete only those rows.
Remove empty columns
Exports often include a spare column that never got a value. CleanCSV lists those columns and waits for you to confirm before they disappear.
Trim whitespace
Leading and trailing spaces break joins and duplicate checks. Trimming removes only that padding, and the preview shows the cells that would change.
CSV viewer
Read the file as a grid, including quoted commas and line breaks, before Excel has a chance to guess types. Search and filter stay in this tab.
CSV validator
Validation here means a readable report of structural problems: quotes, width, headers, blanks, duplicates, encoding, and formula-like text.
CSV to TSV
Switch the delimiter to a tab and download a .tsv file. Cell text stays as it was, including commas inside fields and leading zeros.
All CSV tools
Each tool is the same private workspace with a different first step. Pick the job you actually have. None of these pages upload the file.
Your rows stay here
CleanCSV does not upload the file, does not send cell text to analytics, and does not keep a copy after you clear the workspace or close the tab. Local storage holds only three numbers: files opened, cleanups applied, and downloads. The privacy page explains how to erase them.
